Eco-therapy & Nature Walks

Join us for a transformative 4-part workshop that celebrates the beauty and stillness of nature! Our experienced instructors will guide you on a journey of self-discovery and exploration, using nature as our inspiration and guide.

Through a variety of multi-modal activities, including observation, herbal lore, nature-inspired art projects, natural body products, and community building, we'll deepen our connection to the natural world and chart the internal and external landscapes of our psyches.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to tap into the healing power of nature and explore their inner world in a safe and supportive environment. Our experienced instructors will provide personalized guidance and coaching to help you unlock your creativity and connect with your true self.

Curriculum

  1. I. Introduction (5-10 minutes)

    • Mindful observation and sensing our internal response to nature

    • Nature walk or walking meditation

    • Nature-inspired meditation or contemplation

    II. Foraging and Sketching (15 minutes)

    • Forage natural elements

    • Sketch and journal about the natural elements

    III. Core Creative Activity (20-25 minutes)

    • Choose one of the following activities:

      • Cyanotype print making from foraged natural materials

      • Creating herbal infusions, tinctures, and remedies with a tea ceremony

      • Eco-prints or gelli printing with natural specimens

      • Dyeing textiles with natural pigments

      • Concocting natural cosmetics with herbs

      • Using wax to encapsulate specimens and natural materials in a mixed media piece

    IV. Community Sharing and Active Witnessing (10 minutes)

    • Share and witness each other's creative products

    V. Ending Mindfulness Ceremony (5 minutes)

    • Closing meditation or ceremony

    VI. Evaluation and Feedback (2-3 minutes)

    • Reflect on the experience and provide feedback for improvement

4-week class: $200, 1.5-2 hours per session, virtual or in person

1-on-1 single session: $30 with experienced instructors
