Greek Food & Mediterranean Diet

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn the secrets of the Mediterranean diet and how it can increase your lifespan. Through interactive discussions and practical cooking demonstrations, we'll explore the principles behind the diet and identify the key ingredients that make it so beneficial for cardiovascular health and cognitive function. Drawing on the example of the Greek islands, we'll uncover the secrets of the Mediterranean way of life and learn how to create delicious and healthy meals from simple, fresh ingredients. Whether you're a seasoned cook or just starting out in the kitchen, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to take control of your health and well-being.
Workshop Activities:
I. An engaging presentation on the latest research about the many benefits of the Mediterranean diet, including its positive impact on cardiovascular health and cognitive function.
II. A deep dive into the specific foods, nutrients, and techniques that make this diet so effective at promoting good health and longevity.
III. Live cooking demonstrations of classic Greek dishes, including stuffed grape leaves, stuffed vegetables, broiled fish with lemon and oregano marinade, and lemon potatoes. You'll get hands-on experience with these dishes and learn how to prepare them at home.
IV. A recipe book with easy-to-follow instructions and helpful tips for creating delicious and healthy Mediterranean meals in your own kitchen.
V. And of course, no workshop on Mediterranean cuisine would be complete without some mouthwatering appetizers made from fresh, wholesome ingredients. You'll have the chance to sample a variety of healthy vegetable-based appetizers, along with homemade wine and bread, and learn how to create these dishes yourself.
